Underfloor heating loop length
Enter the room dimensions, the pipe spacing and the distance to the manifold. The answer comes from the same algorithm that draws loops inside the HeatAlgo app.

The loop in this room
FlowReturnRun to manifoldPattern: spiral · Proportions are true. This is not a print-scale drawing.
- Pipe in total
- 92.6 m
- Loops needed
- 1
- Pipe in the room
- 77.0 m
- Run to manifold
- 15.7 m
What this result assumes
- Limit: 100 m per loop, the run to the manifold included - the hard limit HeatAlgo uses for 17x2 pipe (it warns from 90 m). For 16x2 pipe HeatAlgo warns from 80 m and treats 90 m as a hard limit.
- The loop is set back 10 cm from the walls.
- Bends are arcs of up to 75 mm radius, and the length is measured along them.
- The run goes straight from the manifold to the middle of one wall, over the distance you entered.
- This calculation covers a rectangular room. L and T shapes, slanted walls, obstacles and several rooms on one manifold are handled in the app.
